Founded in 1983 by Yousuf Haji Baliyil and Mahmood Haji Baliyil, Talal Group is a trusted and diversified business conglomerate in the UAE.

With a strong presence across retail, FMCG, hospitality, manufacturing, and services, the Group plays a vital role in everyday life across the Emirates. Its flagship brand, Talal Market, operates a wide network of supermarkets offering groceries, fresh produce, and daily essentials.

Talal Group also manages 22+ multi-cuisine restaurants, alongside in-house bakery and roastery brands. Through Fineway International, the Group delivers dynamic FMCG distribution powered by leading global and regional brands.

Continuing to grow, Talal Group has expanded into IT, interior design, MEP, automobile care, travel services, fitness, and food processing—guided by its core values of honesty, respect, and excellence.

Our History

In 1983, in the heart of Dubai, two brothers—Yousuf Haji Baliyil and Mahmood Haji Baliyil—set out with a simple yet powerful vision: to build something meaningful through hard work, honesty, and an unwavering commitment to people.

What began as a small convenience store in Deira was more than just a business—it was a promise. A promise to serve the community with care, to offer everyday essentials at fair value, and to build trust one customer at a time.

As Dubai grew, so did Talal Group. Guided by resilience and a deep understanding of customer needs, the small store steadily evolved into a diversified enterprise spanning retail, FMCG, hospitality, and services. Yet, through every phase of growth, the foundation remained unchanged—consistency, reliability, and a people-first approach.

At its core, Talal Group has always been a family business—not just in ownership, but in spirit. Employees, partners, and customers are all part of an extended family built on respect and long-lasting relationships.

Since our humble beginnings in 1983, Talal Group has grown into a diversified business entity with a strong and respected presence across the UAE. Over the years, we have built a robust network of retail and wholesale channels, developed a diverse portfolio of products and services, and nurtured lasting relationships with our valued customers, partners, and stakeholders.
Our flagship grocery chain, Talal Market, has become a trusted household name, offering a wide variety of products—from fresh and frozen foods to garments, electronics, crockery, and everyday essentials. We have complemented our retail presence with a thriving food and hospitality division, operating 22 and counting multi-cuisine cafeterias and restaurants, along with our own bakery and roastery brands.
Through our subsidiary, Fineway International, we have expanded into FMCG distribution, representing reputable consumer brands with an unwavering commitment to quality and reliability.
